Climate
The average maximum daytime temperature in New Delhi in September lies at 34°C. The average minimum temperature goes down to around 29°C. August is part of the rainy season in New Delhi hence occasional rains may be expected.
Health Details
All incoming delegates/staff/visitors shall follow Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India guidelines for international arrivals. The guidelines stipulate that all international travellers to India should preferably be fully vaccinated as per the approved primary schedule of vaccination against COVID-19 in their country. The guidelines also prescribe basic precautionary measures like preferable use of masks and adherence to physical distancing.
1. On arrival, thermal screening may be done by the health officials present at the point of entry.
2. Any passenger having symptoms of COVID-19 during travel may be isolated as per standard protocol.
3. All passengers are expected to cooperate with the health officials.
All passengers who are travelling from Yellow Fever endemic countries as notified by World Health Organization are advised to take Yellow Fever vaccination 10 days before their scheduled arrival in India. List of Yellow Fever endemic countries may be seen at: https://ihpoe.mohfw.gov.in/vaccination.php Accordingly, participants from Argentina, Brazil and African Union may take note of requirement of their Yellow Fever vaccinations.
Currency & Banking
The currency of India is the Indian Rupee (INR/₹). Current exchange rates: One US $ = ₹ 88, one € = ₹95 (Subject to change). Currency is easily exchanged at the airport and at designated Government of India approved dealers. There will also be facilities for currency-exchange at the Hotels. Delegates can withdraw Rupees through ATMs. Major foreign credit cards are accepted in all modern establishments; hotels, restaurants and stores.
Language
English is widely spoken in Delhi and the rest of the country, except in rural areas. Many Indian languages are also spoken.
Pre Booked Transfers
IBET Expo 2025 participants have the opportunity to book one-way/roundtrip airport/hotel transfers at their expense. Some on spot local transport/Cabs are Ola, Uber, Meru, Rapido, etc.
Insurance and Liability
The Organizers do not take responsibility for any individual, medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are advised to secure their own insurance policies before departure from their countries, as required.
While every attempt is made to ensure efficient, trouble-free hospitality, including hotel accommodation, sightseeing and tours, participants are advised that no liability accrues to the Organizers in the event of any necessary modifications, including change in itineraries for tours due to delays or cancellations of flights/other exigencies beyond the Organizers' control.
International Dial Codes
The country code for India is +91 and the local code for New Delhi is 011. To call a local number, you can dial +91 followed by the local code 011 and then dial the number you wish to call. Likewise, to call an Indian mobile number when calling from a foreign number, you should dial +91 followed by mobile number you wish to contact. Delegates intending to use an Indian SIM card can obtain the same from an authorized mobile network operator.
Electricity
The electricity supply voltage in India is 220-240 volts with plug types C and D. The IBET secretariat will provide a power outlet at the delegate’s desk at the venue. Participants are encouraged to bring their equipment, such as electric adaptors for mobile devices intended to be used. Round pins with three points are used in Indian plug point.
Medical Support
An emergency medical support unit will be available at the Exhibition venue. Accessibility & Special Requirements: Participants are encouraged to inform the IBET Expo Secretariat on any special needs requiring assistance, such as accessibility and ambulatory requirements, allergies, medical issues and any other needs through email. All information will be treated confidentially.
Dress Code
All meetings – formal business attire. Participants are expected to wear smart casual attire for the Welcome Reception and Networking Dinner.
